Appearance / Description of Object(s)

Gunmetal grey, given my estimate of altitude, about 30ft long, light at the rear was not normal jet emissions. I could very clearly see the object ,it had no wings and was flying horizontally.

I have heard of cigar shaped UFO sightings but had always thought of a cylinder shape, on the 23rd of December I saw a craft, or whatever, that was pointed at one end bulged slightly in the middle came to a blunt end that had a bright steady light, The object was grey and had shapes in the outer hull rather like gothic doorways,Icould see this clearly.I dont know what made me look up as light aircraft use local airports and often pass over at that time of night, I think it was the sound but I am not clear on this. The strange thing about all this is that I did not get excited at the time and it was a full 15mins before I reacted, my state of mind during the sighting and imidiately afterwards was unuseley calm.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

I have not had any hard and fast feelings about UFOs before, but I am sure what I saw was not known current technology.

Other Comments

I am sure that my response to the sighting was not normal for me for a period of 15mins, after that I did get back to my usual self but I still feel very much less excited by the incident than I would expect.
