the light would go from a brilliant white almost chrome look to a whitish redish look when it would rise and then to a dull metallic look when it would drop closer to the ground. the cigar shaped object never changed. it stayed metallic with the light reflections on its side from the sun. the light its hard to say but it apppeared to be round. we were apprx. 2 to 3 miles away and it looked to be the size of a small hot air balloon. the cigar was aout the size of a

coastal area right at the northern end of ocean isle, nc. no military bases and the closest airport of mentionable size is 35 to 40 miles away

while sitting on the top deck of a three story beach home that i was building, a couple of helpers and myself on lunch break observed a light out of the island about two to three miles in the atlantic ocean. the light would pulsate and drop down to about 5 or 600 feet then would raise up to apprx. 1500 to 2000 and did this for about 45 minutes or so. after watching pretty much our whole lunch break the last thing we saw was a cigar shaped metallic looking object pass by pretty close to the same area as the first object that was spotted. the cigar object passed and arose very slowly until it was out of site and once it was gone so was the pulsating light
