Appearance / Description of Object(s)

It was the shape of half a circle with no marking on it at all, just completely smooth all over. It was silver and really shiney (it was a really sunny day and it was shining, short of like a shiney car would shine) and the sun was reflecting off of it. It was flying really slow and whenever the wind would blow it would sort of sway. the bottom was perfectly flat.

relative size: about a foot (i think) Actual size: around 3 or 4 feet wide and 1 or 2 feet high

it was only about 25 feet high and 20 feet away...maybe even less

Over my yard in a small town, with lots of houses around.

I was sitting in my yard around noon, and I saw, at first off in the distance, but then it got so close it was flying right over the yard next door. It was going so slow that i would of had time to go and get somebody else and show them but I was so shocked that i didnt even think to. Probably about 15 minutes later (after I had finally recovered from the shock) i went and got my sister and we went off in the direction that it went but by then it was long gone. I feel really stupid now for not telling somebody and following it.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

Not likely.

I believed in life on other planets but wasnt sure if any UFOs actully came to earth...

I'm suprized that it was seen by lots of people, but it was a pritty cold day so im not sure that many people would be outside...
