it looked like a ping ball but orange in colour

i watched from a good distance away and can only discribe, by doing the ok sign it fitted in between the circular of my first finger and thumb

i must have stood a mile and a half away at ground level height 200ft

i live in a rural part of the town.there are no power plant ,there is a military base some 10,15miles away.

it was getting on to late afternoon. the day was very clear with, blue sky and little cloud around i was facing the bottom of the garden which is north,i then turned to my left ,to look to the west and in the distance i could see an orange in colour, ball type shape moving in a fast up and down motion.i watched this object approx, five min's then it moved off at very high speed in a south west direction.the following day on the radio, a person living 40miles away had seen the same object and motion movements as i did.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

not at the speed it moved off,not man made.

my views before the sighting were pritty much like everybody else,but having seen the object,my views have changed.
