Summary:
Our family was standing on our back porch and looking at Orion's belt. All of a sudden we noticed something that almost looked like a hand glider flying over head. It was up at the height of an air plane and was completely silent. It was shped like a crescent. The round part was in the front. It just flew over and out of sight. Moving at the speed of a plane, but it was not a plane and had no sound.

Appearance / Description of Object(s)Almost translusent. Crescent shaped. Tiny little lights outlined it. Distance to Object(s) & AltitudeAs high as an airplane but not flying the usual airplane routes. Flying from south to north. Description of Area / SurroundingsUrban. About 1 to 2 miles from downtown Dallas. Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?Not sure. Could be a hand glider, but where in Dallas would it launch from, this is a very flat area. Witness BackgroundI'm a software developer. Educated.
