UFO Sighting Report

Summary:
after dark in the distance ahead of me while traveling west on st hwy 5 i saw a light in the night sky & flashed my hi beams at it several times , in an instant it was over the top of our car, as i pulled over to the shoulder of the highway the object very slowly and quietly haf circled and half hovered over the top of the car all the while doing this it was shining several bright type of spotlights down in our direction, several other cars pulled over and saw this but we never spoke to anyone nor did i ever report it.it happened approx 2 miles east of herkimer just east of the huge cemetary

Appearance / Description of Object(s)it was somewhat cigar shaped with at least 4 types of spot lights shining it semi circled at just above tree top heighth and slowly went over the mohawk valley toward where there are no airfields & then we lost sight of it Size of Object(s)possibly 40 - 50 ft long was the actual size Description of Area / Surroundingsrural area no airports no military bases , maybe some fields in the mohawk river bottom Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?what was strange was how slow it was moving for an after dark flying machine and no noise like an engine or pony motor running, we were close enough to have heard something definitely not a star or planet Views on UFOs, before and after sightingthis was surely some sort of not common flying machine, i truly do not know what it was & wish i had soken w/ some of the other cars that had stopped & watched Other Commentsdate is approximate , it was sometime in the mid 70's Reported Sighting?NoName:samYour Location:herkimer ny usaAge:50 |
