Appearance / Description of Object(s)

The object was a red round ball about the size of a basketball from what my mother saw. It was very bright and glowing and illuminated the entire street since it took place in the middle of the night.

It was about a ft. wide from what my mother saw and looked about the size of a basketball.

Distance to Object(s) & Altitude

The object was about 3 or 4 ft. floating above the street.

Description of Area / Surroundings

The area was on the edge of woods, surrounded by empty fields as far as the eye can see. The fields were filled with some corn and wheat.

My mother was sitting on her front porch at about midnight, and she noticed a very strange, bright, glowing light, she then looked over and saw a solid red ball, floating above the street about 3 ft. in the air. She knew it wasn't a car light since there were no cars around and it was completely solid. It made no sound and floated quietly down the street and out of view.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

It couldn't have been man-made at all. It was a solid red ball that glowed very brightly and hovered above the ground. It also didn't look like ball lightning either.

I am a young teenager and I am still in school. I have been interested in ufo's and etc. every since I was 6 or 7.

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

I totally believe in ufo's, as well as my mother who saw it. I knew plenty about ufos already and was and still am very interested in them. I especially believe in them after what I heard from my mother.Besides, too many people have seen them already and have even reported being abducted by them, so how can I not believe in them?

I would just like to say that this is not a hoax. This is completely true and all of it I heard was from my mother.
