I was down town. The object was over an unpopulated mountainous region

Full Description & Details

Looking at the southern sky above the lower mountains. A plane was visible with landing lights on. A once the object I saw appeared to be 1 10th of the whole as the entire circular object became visible. The detail of construction and lighting did not remind me of a blimp, which are numerous in southern cal. Also odd was that it had probably came over the 7 to 10,000 ft Mt. San Jacinto. It appeared for a minute and dissappeared.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No. It was suggustive of a blimp but circular

I believe after three sightings decades apart in a simular location
