football shaped and pink. The sky was blue in some parts but some of the clouds were pink from the sun. I think the object appeared pink because of the reflection from the sun meaning it probably was a metalic color.

During the day about an hour or two before sunset I was talking to my girlfried on the phone when I was a pink football shaped object soaring across the sky. I told my girlfriend to go out side and look in the southern part of the sky and she saw it to. It was moving from the west to the east part of the sky.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

no because the shape was unlike any object I've ever seen

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

Before that sighting I have never actually seen the shape of any object I've seen in the sky because it was night and all I could see were just the lights. This gave me confidence that people werent lying about the saucer shaped objects in the sky.
