cigar shaped, gold, beautifully luminous - didn't hurt your eyes but certainly a site I'll never forget.

Description of Area / Surroundings

At that point I was living in Nightcliff - a beach side suburb of Darwin. I was sitting by the pool as my video player had overheated and interupted Pulp Fiction :) Our backyard was a mini rainforest, but directly over the pool was clear sky. Darwin has an army base close to Nightcliff.

It was such a split second sighting that the description is limited. The size of the object was hard to tell - from the ground, it was like seeing a jumbo jet sized craft flying just above the clouds - except that it was luminous and made no sound at all.

At the time I had decided to settle in Darwin after backpacking around Oz. I was working as a masseuse and hypnotherapist. I've always worked in the healing/support industry. Since the sighting, I've travelled to many ancient sites around the world - it certainly confirmed what I already felt was real.

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

Have always had an open mind on the subject. I have always believed in alien civilizatons and the possibility of visitation - only wish my encounter had of been longer. God help us if we're the only 'intellegent' life form in the Universe! :)

Other Comments

I'm concerned that Hollywood and the media are damaging people's attitudes to alien visitation. If 2012 is indeed the 'end of times' as predicted by so many sources, humans will immediately face visitations with fearful reactions, instead of acceptance and curiosity.
