Looked like a typical orange street light, but a brighter, more concentrated light.

Rural area. Large field seperated from mainroad by small line of trees.

Full Description & Details

It was about 10:30PM EST. Just leaving Chalk River, Ontario. I was sitting at the back of a bus looking out at the stars when I noticed an orange light over the field. With a few trees between the field and the road, I assumed it was nothing more than a rather tall street light on a dirt road located in the middle of the field. Then as I looked at this light, another light bloomed into view next to it. At this point I knew it was not a street light. The two lights began descending towards the ground and then a third light appeared from above. I lost sight of the first two lights in the trees. As the third light descended, several more appeared and began descending at different rates. The bus then turned a corner and outside the window I noticed a dirt road the led from the main road to the field, was blocked off by 4 military transports and several guards with M-16s. I also saw to civilian vehicles sitting at opposite ends of the field, watching these lights I assume. I saw somewhere between 7 and 10 of these lights. At first I thought it may have been a training exercise involving flares. But I've never seen flares that could appear from nowhere and descend at different rates. The bus then turned and unfortunately I could no longer see anything.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

I find it highly unlikely that these were man-made objects. I've never seen anything that could do this.

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

This is my third encounter with what appeared to be UFOs. I first saw one 7 years ago in British Columbia. Since then I've believed that there is something out there and I've researched many accounts of UFO sightings and reports.
