Relative size was about 1/2 inch with a 2 inch tail. It was too far away to guess at an actual size.

It was high, but not as high as a jet flies.

I was driving around the river about 7 miles SW of Three Forks at around 9:45 pm when out of nowhere appeared a bright white ball that descended a little bit horizontally across the sky headed northwest. Behind the bright white ball was a light blue tail that appeared very long and kept flickering brighter and then dimming down very rapidly behind the ball. The object was in the air for approximately 5 seconds until it just dissapeared into thin air without any other trace.
