it was triangular shaped with sort of rounded edges,with green and red lights going around it,probably the size of three houses side by side,i was young at the time,around 11

it was about 500 to 1500 feet in the air

small town,in the country no military bases that i knew of

the object was huge and it wasnt very far up,what surprised us was there was no noise,hollis maine is a very small community,you could hear an airplane from far away,but this thing was close and no noise? thats about all i can say as we were scared,so we went into the house.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

no i dont think it was anything man made,it was too close,we would have noticed that
