Appearance / Description of Object(s)

It was a greenish light that had a haze to it. It was almost the shape of an arrow and had a streaking look to it. My wife thought it was a missile.

Size of Object(s)

Relative size might be have an inch. It was difficult to get proper depth perception because it happened so fast but It looked larger than an airplane.

Distance to Object(s) & Altitude

I looked about one kilometer away and aprox 500 meters in the sky or less.

Description of Area / Surroundings

It was traveling north and was viewed in city limits, but near the northern outskirts of the city. There are no special features near this area that I'm aware of.

Full Description & Details

My wife and I were traveling home from the movie theatre on Leila Ave. going east towards Main Street when my wife pointed to through the windshield up into the sky. I looked and also saw this large greenish light flashing through the sky above us, about airplane height but perhaps lower. It was streaking too quickly to be an airplane. The light looked somewhat hazy as if it were traveling through clouds but the skies were clear. It happened in about 4 or 5 seconds and was gone. When we got to the traffic light on Main street we stopped and the car beside us was also pointing up into the sky. They rolled down their window and were curious as to what it was. There wasn't much traffic on Main street, but all of a sudden a police cruiser with its lights on was speeding past us going north on Main St. I called 911 and was transferred to emergency police services who indicated that others had reported this. I called our local radio station CJOB who had not received any report of it that evening. He referred me to Chris Rutkowski, a UFOlogist at the University of Manitoba. I sent Chris an email stating what I saw.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

I thought it could be a meteorite but it was too large in my opinion

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

I do believe in UFO's but II don't believe there are other life forms in the universe, so what do I believe UFO's are? Well, there are too many proven unexplained sightings to deny their existence but I have some suspicions. I could be wrong but I strongly believe that UFO are simply spirit beings trying to deceive people. One reason for this is that, as a pastor, in all my years in ministry, I have noticed a connection between UFO's and people who have been involved in the occult. I don't know for certain but that's what I have seen on more than a few occasions.
