Urban area many tall buildings, bridges, and two major airports in area.

At 8:29PM May27th 2000 SunSet: 8:17PM MoonSet: 1:39PM Object gray in color Two Black Circles along it's side. Small white light on the rear of craft constantly on, top center & bottom center lights on object alternate on & off as object manuevers in a short wave like motion from southwest to south/southeast(lights seem to assist the objects maneuverability) . Approx: Southwest of this object are two major airports Kennedy Airport & Laquardia Airport. I believe this object was manuevering at a low alitude to evade airports radar.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No! just by the way the object moved in a short wave like motion & manuevered under air traffic.

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

My view of Ufo's prior to this sighting was that I didn't believe in other peoples sightings and wasn't interested.
